Overview 

This course introduces administrators and other IT professionals to the operational theory behind Citrix WANScaler 4.3 and prepares them to plan a deployment and to install, configure and administer the product. This course also covers the information necessary to successfully install and configure the WANScaler Client and Citrix Branch Repeater Enterprise Edition.


Pre-Requisites

Before taking this course, Citrix recommends that learners have the following:

• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols

• Understanding of OSI model

• Experience with network devices, including routers and switches

• Experience with networking protocols

• Experience with aspects of site architecture, including DMZ and VLANs

• Exposure to basic systems administration concepts, including logging, software upgrade procedures and high availability operations

    This course is intended for learners familiar with networking components, including network administrators, network engineers and systems engineers

    Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to:

    • Identify the features of Citrix WANScaler 4.3.

    • Identify the limitations of TCP over a WAN and identify how protocols are optimized.
