    More Information

Anyone who is in the process of preparing for the CCIE Routing & Switching practical exam and who is three to six months out from the lab date. Certification candidates are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics in the exam blueprints and are strongly encouraged to have three to five years of job experience before attempting certification.

To gain an understanding of advanced Cisco CCIE technologies through assessment labs, on-demand lessons, an exercise workbook, and a reference library.

    Exercise Workbook

The Cisco 360 Exercise Workbook provides a series of challenging, expert-level hands-on practice labs to allow you to reinforce course concepts and develop a solid level of expertise. A detailed answer key, including useful diagrams and tables, and support from the interactive Cisco 360 Mentor Guide accompany each scenario. With the Cisco 360 Mentor Guide, you can access a web-based interface and enter an IOS show command as if you're on an actual rack of routers. This allows you to compare the results of your final configuration with the output generated by the Cisco 360 Mentor Guide.

    Assessment Labs

As you complete each of the learning activities in this program, you can measure your progress in Assessment Labs. You'll get detailed score reports that are linked to detailed answer keys and access to the interactive Mentor Guide, allowing you to compare the IOS output of your final configuration with the master final configuration as if you were still logged on to a set of routers and switches. Once you have taken a series of Assessment Labs, you can use the Cisco 360 tracking and trending tools to identify your strengths and weaknesses and help direct your future study activities.

    Reference Library

The Reference Library covers a range of topics presented in a ten-step roadmap format. The structured learning approach is heavily populated with decision trees allowing for options analysis/issue spotting.

    On-Demand Lessons

On-demand video presentations, or videos on demand (VoDs), provide an effective and flexible method to attain a solid understanding of each internetworking technology. Lessons are grouped by technology, including: Link Layer, Frame Relay, Interior Gateway Protocols, Border Gateway Protocol, IPv6, and Cisco Catalyst QoS.

The average VoD length is 15 minutes, and each block of VoDs is supplemented with a "Spot-the-Issues" quiz as well as hands-on, technology-focused exercises to reinforce your understanding of the topics presented. A consistent options analysis/issue spotting problem-solving approach is applied to all lessons.

    Recommended as preparation for :

    The Cisco CCIE Practical Exam.

The CCIE lab exam is an eight-hour, hands-on exam which requires you to configure a series of complex networks to given specifications. Knowledge of troubleshooting is an important skill and candidates are expected to diagnose and solve issues as part of the CCIE lab exam. You will not configure end-user systems, but are responsible for all devices residing in the network (hubs, etc.).
