Overview This course focuses on configuration and administration of storage area networks (SAN), with a strong emphasis on principles and best practices for B-Series, M-Series, and MDSSeries switches. Security, performance monitoring, and documentation are also covered. All the switch operations are accomplished through the different switch native tools, CLI, and EMC ControlCenter. EMC Symmetrix and CLARiiON array management as it relates to SAN is performed through Solutions Enabler, Symmetrix Management Console,
NaviCLI, Navisphere Manager, and EMC ControlCenter..

Knowledge/Skills:
To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have an understanding of the following:
· SCSI and Fibre Channel protocols
- Storage Area Network (SAN) concepts
- Basic SAN switch administration for B-Series, M-Series, and MDS-Series switches
- CLARiiON and Symmetrix storage array administration
