Overview This workshop gives the student the opportunity to install, administer, operate, and troubleshoot Replication Manager v5.0. The focus will be on working with replications of file systems in the lab environment.
Replication of databases is not included in this course. The following courses cover database replication in Symmetrix environments:
Exchange Integration with Symmetrix
SQL Server Integration with Symmetrix
Oracle Integration with Symmetrix
Pre-Requisites
To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have an understanding of the following:
Replication Manager architecture, theory of operations found in the Impact module on SABA.
UNIX and Windows Administration
HP-UX, IBM AIX, Solaris UFS, NTFS, and VERITAS file systems
Symmetrix TimeFinder and SRDF
CLARiiON SnapView and SAN Copy
