Summary:
The Cisco Advanced Routing and Switching
Specialisation recognizes partners for their knowledge and
expertise in selling, designing, installing, and supporting

enables you to address a wide range of customer needs, from

(SMB) customers. The focus of the specialisation is on developing
sales, technical, and services capabilities that distinguish
partners as being among the industry's elite in providing
integrated systems based on proven routing, switching, security and
communications solutions for unparalleled services performance,
investment protection and end user productivity.
For customers that need secure, reliable
delivery of business applications to small office and branch office
locations, Cisco provides the industry's first portfolio of
Integrated Services Routers engineered for secure, delivery of
concurrent data, wireless, voice and video services. For customers
of all sizes who need high-speed, secure and available LANs that
provide the foundation for voice, video and data, Cisco provides
the industry's broadest LAN switching portfolio which provides high
density, high performance, service-enabled and integrated switches
for the LAN access, distribution, core and data center. Partners
who achieve the Advanced Routing and Switching Specialisation have
demonstrated their ability to deliver these solutions.
To achieve an Advanced Routing and Switching
Specialisation, partners must fulfill each defined job role:
Account Manager,
Systems Engineer, and
Field Engineer. Partners must allocate a
dedicated individual to each role in
base specialisations. Individuals used for job
roles in base specialisations may also be used for optional
specialisation roles.
Note: Partners can only hold a single
specialization in a given technology. For example:
- A partner cannot hold a Routing and
Switching Specialisation and an Advanced Routing and
Switching Specialisation.
- If a partner achieves the Advanced Routing and
Switching Specialisation before their current Routing and
Switching Specialisation expires, the older specialisation
will be rendered invalid
