The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF) Architecture Skills Framework aims to provide a standard and consistent definition of the skills and capabilities required of IT Architects
The framework has been developed in response to the need to provide a common language to describe what architects should be able to do given the ever increasing demands for IT architectural skills in today's enterprises.
The Framework provides a standard definition for:
- The roles within an enterprise architecture work area
- The skills required by those roles
- The depth of knowledge required to fulfil each role successfully
The TOGAF Architecture Skills Framework supports organisations so that they can specify and assess the skills required to deliver a successful enterprise architecture.
For more detail on the framework, refer to the Architecture Skills Framework page of the Open Group website.
