Global Knowledge demonstrates its
commitment to Cisco with appointment of new EMEA Product
Director
Global Knowledge, Europe’s leading independent training company,
is demonstrating its full and continued commitment to delivering
the highest standards of training in Cisco Systems with the
appointment of Marcel Teeuwen as Cisco Product Director EMEA.
Teeuwen has over 14 years of experience of
the Cisco training industry having worked for VMX in the
Netherlands prior to joining Global Knowledge. During his career
Teeuwen has worked in all disciplines including marketing, sales
delivery, business planning and business development. Teeuwen now
brings this broad and deep understanding of the training business
to the role to drive the Cisco business forward across EMEA.
Teeuwen will be responsible for the development of Global
Knowledge’s enhanced and differentiated Cisco portfolio throughout
EMEA and for ensuring that the offering keeps ahead of the needs of
Global Knowledge’s customers. “Global Knowledge is the leading
Cisco Learning Solutions Partner in Europe and we see it is part of
our role to lead the way with new education and skills development
programs”, Teeuwen states.
“With a number of new Cisco Advanced Technologies in the data
centre and other areas now coming to the fore, Global Knowledge has
a unique opportunity to extend its presence amongst the Cisco
Partner, Enterprise and SMB communities. We will be developing new
content and services that will benefit customers as they look to
derive maximum value and return on investment in their networking
and communications infrastructure.”
Commenting on Teeuwen’s appointment, Richard
Pryor-Jones, President, Global Knowledge EMEA, “This is
a key role in a strategically vital area of our business and one
that I am confident Marcel can fulfil with great success. He has
tremendous experience in Cisco technologies, in portfolio
development and product management, and in our business. He is
ideally placed to develop and drive the programs that will enable
Global Knowledge to fully exploit the massive potential for Cisco
training and development in the EMEA region over the coming
years.”
Global Knowledge is the leading Cisco Learning
Solutions Partner in Europe. In 2006 over 3000 Cisco and Global
Knowledge courses were delivered to over 25,000 delegates across
Europe. Earlier this year it announced the completion of a
multi-million Euro investment in the development of a Cisco Remote
