ITIL foundation v3 conversion training available from
June
London, UK, 3 May 2007. Global Knowledge, Europe’s largest
independent training company, has announced details and course
dates for a new ITIL version 2 to version 3 conversion course to
quickly get enterprises up to speed on the latest ITIL service
management methods.
The one day instructor led training course provides an
introduction to ITIL version 3 best practice and explains how ITIL
V3 differs from ITIL V2 guidelines. It examines in detail the new
service lifecycle approach to implementing new and changed
services, and outlines all changes to existing processes as well as
covering the new additional processes.
ITIL version 3 moves away from a process model
to a five-stage interlinked model that covers the complete
lifecycle of service management. The five stages are: Service
Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and
Continual Service Improvement. The ITIL version 3 conversion course
focuses on new and changed concepts, new definitions and
terminology and key interfaces.
The ITIL version 3 conversion course will be
available at Global Knowledge training centres from June 2007, with
the first course running at the Old Broad Street London training
centre on 4 June, with regular courses scheduled thereafter.
