Course Overview

Top
Scrum is an agile framework for maximising the value of product development. This may take the form of a project but Scrum is designed to be applicable to both project and non-project environments.  Scrum uses an empirical approach based on iterative and incremental development with regular feedback to enable maximisation of return on investment.

If you are going to be a ScrumMaster or be part of a Scrum team, or if you are going to lead one or more Scrum teams or are going to interact with one of more Scrum teams to support activities such as recruitment or procurement; this course will provide the understanding you need to help the team to maximise its performance.

Course Objectives

Top
  • A Scrum team maximises value to its customers, users and organisation through the regular and frequent delivery of valuable product features.  Scrum teams build a regular cadence of delivery in short time frames, typically between 1 and 4 weeks for each delivery cycle.
  • On this course you will learn how to effectively apply the Scrum framework, whether you are the Scrum Master, the Product Owner or a Team Member.    Through a number of hands on exercises you will practise all aspects of the Scrum framework in a fun, exhilarating and interactive environment.  You will also learn some of the common impediments experienced by teams adopting Scrum and strategies to overcome these.
